11/5/17. Today I did the research for the character model sheets and walk cycles. I chose to do my slide on Marvin the Martian because he is made up of very basic shapes, squares and ovals, plus when he walk he doesn't bend his knees or feet, it is just a swinging shuffling motion.
I also did my own character design and turn around sheet based on a heatable rice bag my boyfriend gave to me for my birthday. My owl, "Hooty", is made of almost all ovals. He does have a few rounded triangles for variety. The ovals and other rounded objects makes him extremely simple while adding a sense of comfort and friendliness.
