Blog #1

9/4/2017
Start: 2:15 p.m.
Duration: 20 minutes

On Wednesday, August 30th, we had our first Animation: traditional to Digital class. During class we covered the syllabus, the blogs, some short videos about animation and the many different forms, what is and how to make a zoetrope, and what was due for homework the next class. We also created three zoetropes in class, which are shown in the first image.
I think we got a lot done on the first day of class. It also seems like we will be extremely busy for the whole semester. Honestly I think that the blogs are a little silly but is a good way to get thoughts out and have a record to refer to in the future.

Our assignment for the weekend was to analyze the poem The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock, by T.S. Elliot, and create a flipbook of 100 pages. I have printed off a copy of the poem and highlighted the parts that I am considering to depict in my book. Shown in the last three pictures below. The parts that I have Highlighted are mostly landscapes, and objects, with a few spots where you would see the man talked about in the poem. I plan on researching flipbooks some before I come up with a definite plan and start drawing.
